The new prosthesis almost cover the whole buttocks area, differently from the others that only filled the superior third part and did not shape the inferior gluteus half.

It is an ambulatory surgery, the patient return to his or her house on the same day. It is realized under an anesthetic sedation, we rarely use peridural. The duration of this process is about three hours and sometimes it is complemented with hip and or waist liposculpture.

The incision or cut is realized in the middle of the two buttocks, in the intergluteus fold about 2,5 cm above the anus. With just one incision both buttocks can be worked to realize the pockets that will receive the implants according to the size preset by the doctor and the patient. Sometimes it is necessary to add a drainage, but its use in not of routine.

Since it is an ambulatory surgery the patient returns to his or her house on the same day and must rest for 2 days. The patient can not sit down for 4 to 8 days until the surgical casualty is healed.

The patient can shower after 24 hours post surgery and must use a elastic contention girdle at gluteus level for 21 to 30 days.

Since we are treating strange bodies, the implants, we must follow the directions given by our special doctor to prevent the complications: infections, hematomes, rejection, etc.

The results with this new prosthesis design are very satisfactory, and this has generated an increase of this surgery’s demand.
