It is necessary to explain that wrinkles can be dynamic or crepe-paper wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are treated with botulinum toxin, which commercial names are Botox o Dysport; the effects of the treatment lasts about 4 to 8 months. The results are very encouraging on crow's feet, space between the eyebrows, forehead and back of eyebrows

There are three levels of crepe-paper wrinkles: light, moderated and intense. There also exist wrinkles that go from the nose to the mouth called nasogenic. The treatment consists of filling them with different materials.

To begin, Crepe-paper wrinkles are treated with acid peeling. Next, they are treated with microcrystals combined with a diamond tip. If necessary, we also use pulsed intense light and/or laser resurfacing with CO2.

We recommend not realizing these treatments during periods of sun exposure or permanent use of sunscreen, due to the cellular change they produce on the epidermis. If patients are not cautious they could get spots on their faces.
