Mesotherapy is a technique described by Dr. Pistor that consists in injecting, by the transcutaneous way, medicaments of local action to treat the affection or pathology. It is utilized for cellulite, reduction, wrinkles, strias, spots, acne, and facial rejuvenation.
The most frequent uses are for cellulite and localized adiposities reduction. There exist various injections levels; it is usually performed in between two to four millimeters deep with multiple injections utilizing a pistol so that the procedure is standarized and the results are favorables.
An anesthetic cream is applied on the zones to treat and then the procedure is carried out. Once it is done the heat and physical activities are contraindicated for four to six hours.
COMPUTERIZED MESOTHERAPY: It is a technique for the administration of medicaments in small doses by the intradermic way, in very low doses and diluted in physiological solution (serum).
It works for realizing the reducing and localized cellulite treatment. It provokes a pharmacologic effect (due to the medicament’s action), and a physical stimulation effect (depending on the needle’s prick on the skin). These medicaments cocktails contain circulation stimulators, enzymes, and active lipolytics (they dissolve fats). Techniques utilized: manual or electronic with a pistol or injector. Better results are obtained using the pistol.
COMPUTERIZED CARBOXITHERAPY: It is a method that introduces a gas (CO2) through a computer with small needles, causing a capillary flow increment with the consequent increase of metabolism in the treated zone. Thus it improves microcirculation and it is lipolytic (reducing). This physical principle was born from oxygenoclatia, already abandoned.
Mesotherapy and Carboxitherapy are usually realized in the same session as cellulite and/or localized fat reduction treatment, lasting each treatment from 10 to 15 minutes.
