AND TECHNIQUES

Some of the different
therapeutic choices are:

1. Endermologie: It is a lipodermic mobilization (under the skin) by aspiration with a two roller system. It is applied over the corporal surface utilizing a lycra sock.

It is a non-violent technique that unscales the epidermis, increases the local temperature, tones the fasciomuscular system, and unblocks circulation, making the blood and oxygen to flow toward the suffocated cellulite tissues and accelerating the drainage of stagnant toxic residues. It also works for improving the corporal surface or surgery treatments’ (as the liposculpture) results.

2. Vibratory Endermotherapy:It is a new technique that works by vibration instead of suction. It permits a greater work from the deepness to the surface with different headrests. It produces the body relaxation, toning muscular massages, lymphatic drainage and mechanical dermabrasion of the skin (scraping)

3. Electrotherapy with Galvanic and Faradic Microcurrents: Electrodes are not used, but bands that embrace the zones to be treated and offer, through a computerized system, 36 (thirty six) different programs. The programming depends on the affection: flaccidity, hard cellulite or edematose, and lipodystrophy.

4. Iontophoresis: Products applied topically penetrate through the skin, because of the polarity (electricity in charges) and the utilization of a type of current called high frequency. This process favours the lipid catabolization, increases the elimination of retained water, and improves the mucopolysaccharides.

5. Ultrasounds: These are not-audible mechanical vibrations with 20000 Hz cycles. They favor the toning of the skin, edema and circulatory problems. 3 Mhz- ultrasound is used. Hydrolipoclasia is also performed, which is the addition of liquid in the fat tissue to produce swelling by osmosis (water entrance to the cells) and later apply the ultrasound.

6. Sequential Presotherapy: It works for treating venous and lymphatic edemas of the inferior extremities. The member to treat is totally introduced using a sequential compression by cameras or compartments and following the venous return trajectory, from the foot to the ingle.

7. Laser: They are very new, low power, and lack of thermal or ablative effect. They produce mitochondrial ATP increases, electrochemical changes at the level of membranes, and DNA synthesis. Its use is yet discussed since there is still a lack of studies with great number of patients.

8. Computerized Mesotherapy: It is a technique for the administration of medicaments via the intradermic way, in very low doses and diluted in physiological solution (serum). It is used for reducing and localized cellulite treatments, provokes a pharmacologic effect (due the action of the medicament) and a physical stimulation effect (depending on the needle’s bite on the skin). These medicament cocktails contain circulation stimulants, enzymes and active lipolytics (they dissolve fats). Utilized techniques: manual or electronic with a gun or injector.

9. Computerized Carboxitheraby: It is a method that introduces a gas (CO2) through a computer with small needles, and causes a capillary flow increase with the consequent increase of the metabolism in the treated zone. Thus, it improves the microcirculation and is lipolytic (reducing). This physical principle arises from the oxygenotherapy and/or oxygenoclatia already abandoned. Mesotherapy and Carboxitherapy are usually performed in the same session, as treatment for cellulite and/or reduction of localized fat, lasting from 10 to 15 minutes.

10. Cellular Therapy: It complements Mesotherapy. The intention is to nourish and strengthen the tissues with aminoacid, elastin, collagen and placenta injections. The utilized creams and gels are very varied and they differ in their composition. Between the oral treatments exists a fytotherapic product (elaborated with gingko biloba, focus, grape seeds, Centella Asiatica, melilotus, and fish oil). They co-work in the multifacetic cellulite treatment.

In our Estheticand Laser Surgery Center, treatments in a protocolized way are performed in one-hour duration sessions and with a frequency of three times per week. The combination of these types of equipment must be administered and supervised by specialist and accredited doctors.

It is indispensable to remark that these treatments are palliative, to improve the cellulite status but there does not yet exist a cure for the mentioned pathology.

When a patient’s diagnoses presents cellulite and a localized roll (lipodystrophy) a surgery called Liposculpture would be indicated. This is carried out under local anesthesia, with presurgical examinations done by a specialist doctor, producing a notable improvement in both pathologies (lipodystrophy and cellulite).
